Whilst experiencing a period of severe depression I was advised by my Psychologist to make two lists. One list to include all the negative memories, and the other, the positive memories and to compare them together.
When I had completed these lists I realised that my life had been very full and if I pulled myself out of the depression it could be just as full as before. It was also suggested that I introduced my memories, good and bad, into a short autobiography, and this I did.
